"Went to explore old town of Ventimiglia and by chance ran into this cute restaurant right in the heart of old town. The owners were so kind and even though the place was fully booked, they had a table for 2 for us. Food was delicious! The location is PRIME! Make reservations if you absolutely want to get in! This place fills up fast due to its location."

"We overheard locals say this was one of the best restaurants in Ventimeglia - and we must agree! A delightful evening of wonderful food made from fresh ingredients. We ordered the Polpo and would definitely recommend. It was seasoned perfectly and clearly prepared by an expert who knows fresh seafood. The other courses were also divine. Stand out would be the fried seafood main and crème catalana dessert. Service was incredible, and we generously got offered to try local liquors which were great too! Grazie Mille to you both!"

"It was late and cold but I was welcomed in. My fish (sea bass) was good and the service was amazing. I have given 3* for atmosphere as it was only me - I am sure it would be great with a few more people. I enjoyed the music!"

"It's been 4 years since my family and I spent the month in Ventimiglia, and we ate here... at "Max's Place" as we called... several times. Max deserves a Michelin star. 4 years and I still remember how great the food was. Fantastic flavor and worth every minute and euro."

"We had the best pasta we have had outside of Rome at all’orologio ristorante. It is well worth the extra effort to go from Vintimiglia across the bridge and up the lift in the tunnel. The staff and ambiance are amazing and they have a lovely patio or indoor seating in a beautiful setting. We will definitely return."

"Good food for a fair price. We did think the vongole tasted and smelled a bit less fresh than they should, but this was not received well. That’s a pity, in other restaurants they first taste them once more themselves. The rest of the food was good, but not a 5. I’d say something in the range 3.9 to 4.3 is fair for this place, but it could well increase in the future. I’d be happy to come back and give it another try."
